John O'Donohue often refers to this concept, and I started this blog with one of his reflections on the wonder that comes from the fact that against all odds, we are here.
In his seminal book Anam Cara, he begins with the same concept:

"It is strange to be here. The mystery never leaves you alone. Behind your image, below your words, above your thoughts, the silence of another world waits. A world lives within you. No one else can bring news of this inner world."
