The excess of time consuming constant performance, - as Shinoda Bolen explains - always ready for delivering, the weight on the value of production are shown often in the body by the tense cords of the spine, by the defensive chest upward and forward, the locked neck, the tight belly,  a lack of space for flow and the lack of time for recuperation. The struggle of the soul shapes the body and then it speaks in fixed patterns.

"You have the need and the right to spend part of your life caring for your soul. It is not easy. You have to resist the demands of the work-oriented, often defensive, element in your psyche that measures life only in terms of output — how much you produce — not in terms of the quality of your life experiences.”
