Bodyspirit
"Thank heaven that animals and the rest of creation don’t have to carry the burdens of self-consciousness that we do. The animals would be falling all over themselves. The “right way” to dance is to dance you. The challenge is to create or find the safety that allows you to find out what this means. When people allow their original ways of moving to come with ease and joy, they exude an observable power that others can often see. I call this essence “bodyspirit.” Bodyspirit, similar to the term bodymind used by mindfulness practioners, intentionally combines body and spirit to reinforce and remind us that our human soul is inherently embodied as long as we are alive."
